Kamala Harris, Loretta Sanchez to debate on ABC7

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The two candidates for the open U.S. Senate seat in California will debate on ABC7 on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016.

Representatives for both Kamala Harris and Loretta Sanchez committed on Wednesday to the debate, which is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The debate, sponsored by ABC7, will take place on the campus of Cal State Los Angeles in collaboration with the Pat Brown Institute and the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund.

This is the first debate the two candidates have agreed to before the November election.
