CLINTON, Conn. (KABC) -- A car smashed into a Connecticut convenience store, sending a clerk flying, and it was all caught on surveillance video.
In the footage, a dark blue Ford Explorer is seen backing away from the store, but it suddenly moves forward. When the car plows through, it sends shelves and the clerk, 33-year-old Niran Patel, flying.
Although it looks bad in the video, Patel managed to walk away with just minor bumps and bruises.
Police said the driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes.
