Rising young conductor commands the stage at LA Philharmonic
The Lithuanian-born Mirga Grazinyte-Tyla is serving as associate conductor for the Los Angeles Philharmonic this season, bringing to the stage a deeply held love for music.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Mirga Grazinyte-Tyla is a tiny figure taking the stage, until she reaches the rostrum. Then the young Lithuanian-born associate conductor is in full control.

Mirga was picked as a Dudamel fellow with the Los Angeles Philharmonic five years ago and is now associate conductor for this season.
