Garth Kemp
Garth Kemp is a weekday morning weather anchor on ABC7 Eyewitness News who joined the station in 1998 as a weekend weathercaster.

Garth grew up in the San Fernando Valley. In 1978, while attending Metro State University in Denver, Garth stopped at a local radio station promotion and asked for a job. Hearing his booming voice, the station manager hired him on the spot.

Within two years Garth was offered the evening show on WAPP-FM New York. After stints in Miami, Houston and Denver, he wound up in 1992 at KQRS-FM in Minneapolis. In October 1997, after 19 years away from the Southland, Garth accepted a position with KLOS-FM.

Garth does a great deal of charity work for the community. He donates much of his spare time and effort to the cause of animal adoption. His adopt-a-pet segment on Eyewitness News has helped many animals find new homes. He also is very involved in the station's Spark of Love toy drive, which collects toys for underprivileged children during the Christmas holiday season.
