A man convicted for his role in the shooting death of an off-duty L.A. County sheriff's deputy has just been sentenced to 29 years to life in prison.Deputy Maria Cecilia Rosa was killed in Long Beach in March of 2006 during a botched robbery attempt. Twenty-one-year-old Justin Ashley Flint received the maximum possible sentence Tuesday morning.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for the alleged triggerman, Frank Christopher Gonzalez, whose trial is set for March.
