L.A. INT'L. AIRPORT (KABC) --LAX could face some big changes in the near future. The Board of Airport Commissioners unanimously agreed to a $9 million study aimed at improving the safety of the north airfield.The plan includes eliminating the loop roadways and parking garages in the center of the airport, demolishing Terminals 1-3, and relocating one of the northern runways.
The terminals would be rebuilt near the theme building.
Preliminary findings should be ready by August of next year, but changes could not be made until the year 2012.
