Mediterranean diet for mom may help baby

(KABC) Greek researchers tracked nearly 700 women for six-and-a-half-years after giving birth. They say those who ate vegetables more than eight times a week, fish more than three times a week, and legumes more than once a week were 80 percent less likely to have children with asthma and allergies.

Researchers say further studies are needed, but that the combination of healthy foods likely made the difference.
