DNA links sexual assault to missing woman

RENO (KABC) Police have made a DNA link between evidence found there and the sexual assault of another woman just a few blocks away last month.

Denison vanished Jan. 20. She had been visiting friends in Reno and went to sleep on a couch. The next morning she was gone.

Though police now have this DNA link, they still do not have a match with a particular suspect.

"We have collected actually quite a lot of DNA samples in the hopes we'll find a suspect, and to date none of the boyfriends or acquaintances have matched up," said Ron Holladay of the Reno Police Department.

Police also say they found blood on a pillow used by Denison. However, they remain hopeful that she is still alive.
