Simi Valley authorities have not confirmed if the daughter is a suspect.
The woman's body was found just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators say 69-year-old Rose Weiss was found dead in her home in a quiet Simi Valley neighborhood on the east side of town. Police are calling this a homicide, but the manner and cause of death has not been released.
Neighbors declined on-camera interviews, but told Eyewitness News that police questioned two people at the house Tuesday night. They say the adult daughter and a friend were held for a short time, but no arrests have been made and no motive has been released.
Simi Valley police are saying they are investigating persons of interest, but has not released any information on any possible suspects.
