Hells Angels reportedly tried to kill Jagger

LONDON A program to be broadcast on BBC Radio Monday says Jagger was the target of a plot in 1969.

Jagger had vowed not to use Hells Angels as bouncers after the death in December 1969 of an 18-year-old fan at Altamont.

The documentary claims Hells Angels members had devised a plan to kill Jagger at his home on Long Island.

The documentary's host, Tom Mangold, says the Hells Angels tried to reach Jagger by sea but the boat was hit by a storm and the men were thrown overboard. They all survived but they did not make any more attempts on Jagger's life.

Mangold says former FBI officer Mark Young disclosed the plan. It's uncertain if Jagger was ever told of the plot against him. His publicists did not return calls for comment.
