U.S. targets terror suspect in Somali air strike

There is no word on the success of the mission
PENTAGON Somali police say three missiles hit a town held by Islamic extremists, destroying a home and seriously injuring eight people.

A Pentagon official who isn't authorized to speak publicly about the air strike and didn't want to be identified says the U.S. military was going after an al-Qaeda suspect in the town.

As yet, there is no word on whether the suspect was hit.

The U.S. shelled suspected al-Qaeda targets in Somalia last year.
