Airborne has agreed to pay $23.3 million to settle a lawsuit over false advertising of its so-called miracle cold buster.The makers of Airborne, a multivitamin and herbal supplement, will refund money to people who bought the product. It's all part a class action settlement.
The ads claimed the product cures and prevents colds, but an investigation by ABC News revealed that Airborne's lone clinical trial was conducted without any doctors or scientists.
The company will pay for ads in several magazines and newspapers to instruct consumers on how to get their refunds.
