Support group helps U.S. soldiers in Iraq

A support group is asking for the public's help to get care packages to troops stationed overseas.The packages include a variety of donations such as of T-Shirts, snacks, DVDs and personal care products.

All of the the items were collected across San Bernardino County. The group Touch of Home now needs the publics help to ship the packages overseas.

Bill and Diane Boone started the effort back in 2005 while their daughter was deployed in Iraq.

"We have all this wonderful product, so we're making a plea to the public to help us with the postage money to get all this over there," said Diane Boone, Touch of Home Founder.

The County Department of Veterans Affairs is working with the group to get 15 pallets of donations to men and women serving overseas.
