WWII-era grenade found on parked car

SANTA FE SPRINGS Authorities were responding to a fight that broke out at the Bikini Hut bar in Sante Fe Springs early Saturday morning.

They then found the World War II-era grenade, prompting an evacuation of the area.

The bomb squad later determined the grenade was just a shell and didn't contain any explosives.

Authorities say the grenade didn't belong to the owner of the car, but they are now questioning a man to see if he knows where it came from.
