Yamaguchi rules the dance floor

LOS ANGELES For the third week in a row Kristi Yamaguchi scored triple nines. The judges say she has amazing technique, but she'll need more if she wants to score tens.

"I'm still kind of racking my brain, but I think I definitely need to take it to another level emotionally and within my face to get the performance to another level," said Yamaguchi.

Just one point behind her this week is Priscilla Presley.

"I can't believe it, under Kristi Yamaguchi, I'm in, like, shock," said Presley.

In third place, one point behind Presley is Cristian de la Fuente.

"We started really low and we've worked hard with Cheryl to try to be in good in the competition and it's great when your hard work is rewarded. So, it's a great feeling," said de la Fuente.

Actress Shannon Elizabeth did the jive and landed in the judges' number four position with triple eights.

Fifth place finisher Jason Taylor, just one point behind Elizabeth, gets training from his partner and advice from his wife.

"She tries to push me to do more and more, so it's great. She's my biggest supporter and biggest critic too," said Taylor.

In a four-way tie for sixth place are Marlee Matlin, Steve Guttenberg, Mario, and Adam Carolla.

"We're having a blast," said Carolla's dancing partner Julianne Hough.

"We're thick as thieves, she even went to the premiere of my movie 'The Hammer,'" said Carolla.

"I think that my strong point was definitely the acting and coming into the character, but I didn't have, I wasn't 100 percent confident in the dance," said Mario.

"What I really want to do is keep dancing with Anna, and making people happy out there, and sharing my enthusiasm and my joy," said Guttenberg.

"I'm happy that I did the dance, I can say that. I'm looking forward to next week. That's, that's what I can say," said Matlin.

Last place finisher Marissa Jaret Winokur rehearsed some much for her jive she last four pounds. She's hoping there is a next week after scoring 19 out of 30.

"I was so proud of her," said Winokur's dancing partner Tony Dovolani. "And sometimes it's very difficult when you're so proud of something that you've actually accomplished, then you walk but in front of them and they knock the wind out of you. And I felt like they knocked the wind out us tonight."

"But we still want to dance," said Winoku.
