A Moorpark man on parole has been released from jail, after spending nearly two weeks behind bars accused in a cocaine mix-up.Deputies were responding to a report of a domestic at a house, when drug-sniffing dogs identified a white substance in two salt shakers and a baggie as cocaine.
It wasn't until 13 days later that the substance was identified as table salt.
The case was dismissed, but the Moorpark man still faces other unrelated charges.
The Ventura County Sheriff's Department disputes allegations that incidents like this one are an ongoing problem.
