Should pregnant women wear seatbelts?

It seems that seat belts are not harmful to unborn babies as previously thought. The study by the University of Michigan shows pregnant women who wear seat belts greatly reduce the risk that their babies will die or be seriously hurt in a car crash.

In fact, the study showed pregnant women who wore seat belts cut the risk of their fetus being killed or badly hurt by 84 percent.

The study also turned up no evidence that air bags were harmful to fetuses.
