Gallons of gasoline spill into East L.A. drain

Hazmat crews were dispatched to the scene

An East Los Angeles storm drain has been polluted with roughly 16 gallons of gasoline Saturday.The fuel was from a nearby Shell gas station. It filled the drain located on Cesar Chavez Avenue.

Authorities were notified of the situation just before 10 a.m.

Nothing is known about how the spill occurred, but hazmat crews were dispatched to clean up the mess.
