A trip to the farm may be just what the doctor ordered, for people suffering from mental illness.Researchers say they saw improvements in the mental states of 60 patients who made trips to a farm several times a week.
The patients interacted with farm animals, riding horses and milking cows -- plus cleaning and feeding them.
Patients in the study who did not visit the farm showed no improvment.
