Worker charged with selling info on patients

Man is scheduled to be released on bond
NEW YORK The former worker at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center was arraigned Saturday at a federal court in Manhattan.

Dwight McPherson, 38, arrested Friday night, shortly after the hospital announced the security breach.

Prosecutors and hospital officials say McPherson exploited his access to the hospital's registration system to acquire lists of patient names, phone numbers and social security numbers.

McPherson didn't address the charges during his brief court appearance. He is scheduled to be released on bond.
