Dodgers honor cop for saving child

ELYSIAN PARK LAPD Officer Carlos Flores was working off-duty uniformed detail at a game last month when he responded to a call of a 4-year-old girl choking.

Flores, received special recognition from the Dodgers Sunday for rendering aid and successfully saving the life of the young girl.

"The ability to do the techniques to save a child, I mean it could be my child or someone else's child, that's like a blessing, that God gives," Flores said. "It's great, it's a wonderful, wonderful feeling."

As a show of thanks, the Dodgers presented Flores with a personalized team jersey.
