Vice president Dick Cheney kept journalists and politicians in stitches Wednesday night at the annual Radio and Television Correspondents Association Dinner."You all know how to make a guy feel welcome. Obviously you're not the kind to look down on a bitter man that clings to his guns," Cheney said to the crowd, poking fun at Sen. Barack Obama's recent comments about small-town voters.
Cheney also joked about the Pope's visit to Washington D.C., saying he wanted to confess to the Pope that he's been thinking unkind thoughts about the news media.
Cheney also recounted how he asked his wife at the breakfast table if it bugs her that people call him "Darth Vader." He said she answered, "Not at all. It humanizes you."
