A new tool may help police find Stacy Peterson

Sonor equipment may prove helpful
BOLINGBROOK, Ill. A new tool may help Illinois investigators find Stacy Peterson, the missing and possibly murdered wife of a former police sergeant.

It's sonar equipment that provides high definition images of the bottom of a lake or a river and can also record and playback the images on a screen.

Stacy Peterson was last seen back in October of 2007.

Investigators have classified the case as a possible homicide and consider her husband former Bolingbrook police sergeant Drew Peterson a suspect.

He denies any wrongdoing and claims his wife left him for another man.
