A fight broke out around 1 a.m. at a party in Winnetka. Police asked Jailes to leave, but he instead got into someone else's car and allegedly drove it into a several people. Maziar Tehrani, 29, was killed, and two women were hurt, including the owner of the car that hit her.
According to police, the suspect then fled the scene and ran to a nearby house, where he told the residents that he had been shot. When police arrived, they connected him to the hit-and-run.
No charges have been filed yet, but the man could face murder charges.
