San Bernardino cop shoots suspect

SAN BERNARDINO Investigators say an officer on patrol saw suspects in a car, firing shots at a group of people in another car on the 1400 block of Sepulveda Avenue.

Detectives say the suspect vehicle began driving toward the officer so he did the pit maneuver to stop the suspects. Officers say the suspects then got out of the car, one with a gun.

Investigators say since the officer had just witnessed a shooting he feared he would be shot and fired one round, hitting the suspect in the leg.

The victims in the first shooting were not injured. The officer was not injured.

Police are still searching for the other two suspects. Anyone with information is urged to call the San Bernardino Police Department at (909) 384-5742.
