IRS: Don't fall for any rebate scams

Authorities say scammers are trying to reach people by phone and email, trying to get access to your money.

The emails may have IRS logos and say "to access the form for your tax refund just click here."

Do not click. Scammers can get your personal information.

"We are never going to call you, we're never going to email you and ask for personal information, so if you get a call like that hang up, if you get an e-mail like that -- delete it," said IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman.

You can help the government stop future scams by forwarding suspicious emails to phishingirs.gov.
