SAG's contract for films and prime time TV shows expires June 30.
"We've taken proposal after proposal off the table. We're very close on the economic package. It's not about money, it's about the philosophical issues. They want to take away our right to say no to things that are really abhorrent to us," said SAG President Alan Rosenberg.
