LOS ANGELES --
A new law in effect in Los Angeles requires food wagons to move every hour or face $1,000 fines. Violators could also be jailed for up to six months if they don't move their trucks within an hour of parking it.
Opponents denounce the law saying it gives traditional restaurants an unfair advantage. Almost 9,000 people have signed a petition demanding the law be repealed, but proponents say trucks have the unfair advantage because they have little overhead costs.
