Stabbing leaves 1 teen dead, 1 arrested

SAN BERNARDINO The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday just around the corner from Arroyo Valley High School in San Bernardino. The victim got in a fight with another teen, who pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the neck.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Several friends came by the crime scene to put together a memorial on Wednesday.

"It's just a big wake-up call I guess. You never think it'll come like this. You see it on the news, but you don't' ever, you can't believe it," said the victim's friend Roger Muntain.

Although it was reported that the victim was involved in an L.A. gang, friends and family were stunned with the death of the young life.

"That may be true, but nonetheless, there was nothing on his side. There was nothing on his side. He had nothing bad to do with it. It wasn't really his fault," said another friend Carlos Rios.

Police presence was beefed up on campus Wednesday, and the gates were locked.

A 15-year-old was arrested who police believe was the suspect.
