May 30, 2008 6:18:39 AM PDT
A suspect surrendered after a standoff with the LAPD SWAT in South Los Angeles. Police responded to the 400 block of 43rd street around 11 p.m. Thursday after reports that the suspect had argued with his roommate and began shooting inside the house.

The roommate ran out of the house and call 911, and neighbors told Eyewitness News that they were evacuated from the area.

After negotiations with SWAT, the suspect finally surrendered around 3 a.m. Friday, and people were allowed to return home.

No one was injured.
