When officers arrived, they observed activity consistent with people breaking in to a business. As they were investigating, a couple of suspects exited the building, leading to a confrontation with police. Police shot two suspects, who were taken to local hospitals.

Luna said he was unsure if police or suspects fired first, but a handgun was recovered from at least one suspect.

A third suspect was taken into custody, and the SWAT team was activated to search for any other suspects, but no other suspects were found.

About eighty people were evacuated from homes and businesses in the area.
