Prominent surfer injured in San Diego crash

Laguna Niguel passenger was killed
SAN DIEGO San Diego County Sheriff's Sgt. Randy Webb says 51-year-old Milton Willis was driving at 65 mph in a 25 mph zone on Coast Boulevard early Friday when he lost control of the car and crashed into tree and a parked car.

The passenger, 24-year-old Bradley James Dillahunty of Laguna Niguel, died.

Willis was hospitalized in critical condition.

Webb says initial evidence indicates alcohol was a major factor in the accident.

Willis runs a surfing camp in Del Mar with his twin brother, Michael.

The men made a name for themselves surfing big waves in California and Hawaii.
