Study: Sunshine lowers disease risk

A new study shows people living in areas with a lot of sunshine tend to have a lower risk of certain diseases.The sun's rays trigger Vitamin D synthesis in the skin. Experts say Vitamin D helps boost your immune system, thus protecting you from immune disease like diabetes.

Researchers say Vitamin D may also lower your risk of cancer and heart disease, and being in the sun for 20 minutes can provide an adequate level of Vitamin D.
