It would be a half-cent sales tax that would provide funding for rail, bus and freeway projects including the green line extension to LAX.
L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa supports the tax, but it's opposed by L.A. Supervisor Dan Knabe, who says now isn't the time to burden L.A. County residents with yet another tax increase.
