Mayor to unveil program to fight crime

LOS ANGELES Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is unveiling a "Summer Night Lights" program, which features eight city parks that will stay open until midnight and offer job opportunities and activities during peak hours when crime tends to spike.

The parks are located in city gang reduction and development zones, areas like Boyle Heights, Baldwin Hills and Glassell Park.
