Drivers pre-buy fuel based on their zip codes, banking gallons of gas on a special card they swipe at the pumps.
Since its launch in January, about 2,000 people have signed up for the service nationwide.

MyGallons.com is an online gas membership club. Drivers pay a fee to join and can then purchase gas in bulk, locking in the rate at the time of purchase.
