A new study shows broccoli may have positive effects for men dealing with prostate cancer. The United Kingdom's Institute of Food Research studied men who ate just over a cup of broccoli each week. Researchers compared broccoli-eating men to men who ate the same amount of peas each week. After a year, doctors found tissue changes in the men who ate broccoli. The changes may suggest a reduction in prostate cancer risk.
Experts say further research is needed.
