More security after Watts pool attacks

SOUTH LOS ANGELES County Supervisors have pledged $331,000 to increase police presence to seven days a week until Labor Day.

The move stems from a murder over the weekend at a park in the unincorporated area bordering Watts. A few weeks before the murder and after the 109th street swimming pool was closed, 30 men took over the pool deck, attacked the manager and threw him and two other employees into the water.
