The 48-year-old was arrested early Thursday morning at his Yorba Linda home. He's being held on $260,000 bond.
Zendejas said in a statement, "(the) charges are utterly false. I look forward to the opportunity to prove my innocence."
Zendejas retired in 1995 after 10 seasons in the NFL.
