One suspect was arrested immediately, but the second suspect escaped in the neighborhood.
Police set up a perimeter in the area around Los Angeles Street and Central, south of the 10 Freeway.
Residents were advised to keep doors and windows shut, and police were able to capture the second suspect.
Police said the two suspects were wanted initially in connection with a possible assault.
