Clumsiness could lead to weight problems

A study shows that children with poor coordination are more likely to be obese or have type 2 diabetes when they grow up. One theory is that exercise during childhood helps develop motor skills, so children who aren't getting regular exercise suffer on both fronts.

The research is part of Britain's National Child Development Study, an ongoing research project that started in 1958.
