Nearly $2M of fake goods seized at port

LOS ANGELES U.S. Customs and Border Control agents said six containers of counterfeit goods arrived from China.

They had been marked for search before they arrived.

A customs spokeswoman says the value of the items seized was just shy of $2 million. They would have been worth close to $32 million if the brand names were real.

Authorities said three of the containers were headed to Orange County and three to Los Angeles County, but the name of the shipper or the recipients were not released because of the ongoing investigation.
