$10K reward for driver who hit 2 girls

COMPTON, Calif. Police said 52-year-old Florencio Zendejas may have deliberately rammed into a taco stand at 1709 N. Willowbrook Ave. in the middle of the afternoon on August 9.

In surveillance video, his GMC Safari back into a spot, pulls forward, turns toward the taco stand and accelerates, killing the 15-year-old and critically injuring the 13-year-old. He then fled down

There were a lot of witnesses, police said, and many know the driver. Authorities believe Zendejas is still in the area.

Police are not sure if he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He is a legal resident and has lived in the U.S. for more than 20 years. He also has many family in the area, so police do not believe he has left the country.

There is a warrant out for his arrest and a $10,000 reward offered from the L.A. County Board of Supervisors. Anyone with information is urged to call (310) 605-6505. You may also call the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at (323) 890-5500.
