Woman crashes car into Norco bank

August 25, 2008 12:00:00 AM PDT
The Riverside Sheriff's Department says a 67-year-old woman accidentally hit her car's accelerator and crashed through the glass doors of a Norco bank building. Officials say the woman was distracted while filling out bank paperwork when the crash occurred.

The accident happened at about 7:15 a.m. on Hamner Avenue and Fourth Street.

Officials say the woman had her foot on the brake while she was filling out paperwork, and her foot may have slipped on to the accelerator.

The car ended up at a teller's desk.

The Toyota Camry had to be pulled out of the bank and suffered four flat tires.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The crash is considered an accident and no charges are expected to be filed.
