Kidnapped teens rescued at local motel

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. The boys were rescued at about 6 a.m. Friday.

Three suspects, three men and a woman, are in custody.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department got a tip that the victims were being held at the Jet Inn on Slauson Avenue. It is on the border of Culver City and Marina del Rey.

Deputies were looking for a specific car. When they found that car, they began checking occupied hotel rooms. There were seven rooms occupied at the hotel at the time. The boys were found in the last room they checked.

The three suspects were found later.

A gun was found in the air-conditioning unit of the motel room.

According to the Sheriff's Department, the victims are from eastern Los Angeles County.

"It is unknown at this time, like I say, our detective bureau is looking into why this occurred, why they were singled out. We don't know if it was a random act at this time. But the two victims were inside the bathroom of the location when we discovered them," said Sergeant George Ducoulombier, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Sergeant Ducoulombier says they boys were at that location for approximately four hours.

The victims were questioned. However, officials weren't releasing whether the boys were kidnapped late Thursday night or Friday morning.

The suspects are facing kidnapping and weapons charges.
