They're mini burgers, also known as sliders. In addition to traditional beef sliders, places like Tart in L.A. offer other alternatives.
"The fried chicken sliders, I really like that. We have the tomato and the mixed greens, so you get the light with the crunchy of the fried chicken," said Lauren Kyles from Tart.
The trio is $9, and half off between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Gyenari Korean BBQ and Lounge in Culver City uses only the best for its version of the mini burger.
"Fresh ground choice or prime beef, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella cheese on a soft Hawaiian mini bun -- very very good," said Robert Benson from Gyenari.
The burgers are usually $7 for a pair, and during happy hour, they are $2 each.
"The happy hour scene is really hopping. This is a great place for lunch or dinner," Yvette said.
The bread at BREADBAR in Century City is what draws its regulars.
"Most popular one is crab cake slider, second is black cod," said Noriyuki Sugie from BREADBAR.
There's also a salmon fillet, chicken and even a beer-battered brie.
The sliders at BREADBAR are affordable at $6 each or $17 for three.
Whiskey Blue in Westwood's W Hotel is the "see and be seen" night spot for sliders.
"It's a great way to have three different flavors, still in a burger, but we do three small burgers. One is caramelized onions and blue cheese, one is roasted mushroom and one is cheddar and bacon," said Monica King from Whiskey Blue.
These sliders are $18, a little pricier, but Yvette said if you're eating them next to a celebrity, it's a priceless experience.
Rounding out the Citysearch top 7 restaurants for sliders are the 8 oz. Burger Bar, Luna Park and Apple Lounge.
In Orange County, try the Charlie Palmer, in the Inland Empire, try the City Broiler and in Ventura County, try Watermark.
