Officials consider converting rail tracks

SOUTH BAY The former Santa Fe rail tracks loop from the L.A. River along Slauson Avenue through Inglewood to the LAX area to Torrance and then to Long Beach.

According to the Daily Breeze, one of the main obstacles is funding. There is no funding source for proposal.

A series of public hearings will be held on the issue beginning Tuesday in Torrance.
