Suspect attacks female LAPD officer

SOUTH L.A. Paramedics were called to the scene to treat the officer, who was allegedly involved in an altercation with a male suspect. The suspect allegedly attacked the officer.

The altercation took place at the corner of E. 77th St. and S. Main St. shortly before 5 p.m. Backup LAPD units and an ambulance arrived on scene.

The officer was reported to have sustained injuries in the fight.

The suspect was in custody Monday afternoon.
