GARDENA, Calif. --
The Gardena City Council will consider a proposal to ban saggy-baggy pants in the city.City Councilman Steve Bradford claims wearing the baggy pants sends the wrong message to police and gang members.
Bradford said he doesn't want young people arrested, and said he thinks giving out citations or warnings would work best to discourage a style that shows several inches of skin or underwear.
The ACLU calls the idea "stupid" and says it would have to apply to anybody whose pants sag.
