Adam Pacheco, 31, was shot a number of times by one gunman. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
Police are unsure what provoked the shooting, but said they believed the shooting to be gang-related.
A 25-year-old female bystander was also shot in the face by a stray bullet and was taken to a hospital. She was treated and has already been released.
The suspect was described as a teen male Hispanic, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, medium build, with shoulder-length dark hair and dark clothing.
